The Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board 20-20 Premiership Club Cricket Festival 2011 tournament is well underway. The heated contest plays out with two matches daily at Guaracara Park. Match times are 3-6pm and 7-10pm. National cricket selectors will choose stars to go forward on the National Team, which will participate in the Airtel Champions League in India in September 2011.

Top local club teams are taking part, including Queens’ Park Cricket Club, SIS Central Sports, First Citizens Clarke Road, T&TEC, CLICO Preysal, Ceramic Merry Boys, Powergen, Alescon-Comets, Moosai Sports,and W - Connection Wanderers.

The aim of the Festival is to become the largest cricket tournament in the Caribbean. Each team can include three players from other islands, adding regional flair to the tournament. NGC’s $500,000 sponsorship of the Festival makes the company the major event partner. Other partners include First Citizens and the National Lotteries Control Board.

The games are featured live on Cable Channel 14 and on I95.5FM. Highlights are featured nightly on Facebook. The Festival will end on May 29^th.
