NGC Responds to Article about Methanol Production

The National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (NGC) has taken note of an article published in the Guardian newspapers on Monday 5th May, 2014 regarding methanol production that quoted methanol producer, Methanex.

Given the importance of the energy sector to the country’s reputation, along with NGC’s unique role in the local energy industry, specifically as the purchaser for, and marketer of, natural gas to the Point Lisas Estate, we felt it important to provide additional context to the issue raised in the article, namely the recent fall in production from Methanex’s two plants (Titan and Atlas) in Trinidad for the first quarter of 2014.
