Edmund SubryanEdmund Subryan is currently NGC’s President (Ag.) and Vice President, Legal and Corporate Affairs. Throughout his tenure at NGC, he has served as Legal Counsel, Head – Legal Services, and Manager of Legal and Corporate Affairs. Additionally, he previously served as the Company Secretary for the following entities:

      • The National Energy Skills Centre (NESC)
      • Trinidad and Tobago LNG Limited
      • NGC Trinidad and Tobago LNG Limited
      • NGC E&P Investments Limited
      • NGC CNG Company Limited
      • Trinidad and Tobago NGL Limited

Edmund was instrumental in the TTNGL IPO—launched on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange in October 2015—a milestone for NGC. He also played a pivotal role in NGC’s landmark acquisition of Total’s (The France-based global energy operator) Exploration and Production (E&P) assets in Trinidad and Tobago in September 2013 and ConocoPhillips’ interest in Phoenix Park Gas Processors Limited in August 2013.

Edmund’s current portfolio revolves around protecting the Company from risk and liability—this involves oversight of NGC’s Corporate Governance and Compliance function,, Right of Way (ROW) regularisation and land acquisition, claims management, commercial contract negotiations across the natural gas value chain and providing support to other critical groups within the organisation.

Prior to his arrival at NGC, Edmund worked with M. Hamel-Smith and Company and M.G. Daly and Partners as a Partner in the Conveyancing and Commercial Department. Edmund has been admitted to practice as an Attorney-at-Law in Trinidad and Tobago since 2001 and his educational background includes a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Degree from the University of London and the prestigious Legal Education Certificate of Merit from the Hugh Wooding Law School, where he was the Valedictorian of the graduating class of 2001 in recognition of his achievement as the most outstanding student over the two-year period.

Vice President, Finance Technology and Risk

Narinejit PariagNarinejit Pariag assumed the position of Vice President, Finance, Information and Management at NGC in March 2016.

Prior to that he held the position of Vice President, Finance and Administration at National Energy Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago Limited, a 100% owned subsidiary of NGC. Mr Pariag has over 20 years’ experience in the field of Finance and Accounting, having previously worked for private sector corporations.

He is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA), a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago (ICATT), and holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration.

 


Verlier Quan-Vie
Vice President, Commercial

Verlier QuanVerlier Quan-Vie is a Commercial and Business Development Professional with over 23 years’ experience in the business sector. She has a diverse background spanning areas of risk management, commercial and business development in the Upstream, Midstream and Downstream of the Oil and Gas Sectors.

Ms. Quan-Vie began her career in the energy sector at the T&T Methanol Company (TTMC) in a technical role and subsequently moved into the Marketing/Commercial field. She has working experience with several high-level organisations, most notably the BG Group, Methanol Holdings Trinidad Limited and Maritime General Insurance Company Limited.

Prior to joining NGC, Ms. Quan-Vie held the position of Commercial Manager at the BG Group. There, she provided commercial strategy and management expertise in all aspects of the natural gas value chain in Trinidad, UK, Nigeria and Tanzania. She worked as the Commercial Lead on Business Development & Exploration activities in Trinidad and Nigeria for various Upstream Licensing Bid Rounds, Joint Venture Farm-in deals and other commercial agreements. She has effectively managed Production Sharing Contracts and Joint Venture agreements to ensure value creation for all parties.

Ian Walcott
Vice President, Operations

Mr Ian Walcott joined NGC as Vice President, Operations in March 2023.

Mr. Walcott is a chemical engineer by profession, starting his career in 1991 as a trainee engineer for the then ‘Fertilizers of Trinidad and Tobago Limited’.

Over the last 32 years, Mr. Walcott has gained his professional experience and growth, including working on multiple plant revamps and new plant construction projects. For the last two decades, he has functioned in a variety of leadership roles, including leading technical groups, HSE, operations and most recently, Managing Director of an ammonia and urea complex on the Point Lisas Industrial Estate. From his perspective in the energy sector, Ian has developed a keen passion for Trinidad and Tobago’s energy journey, getting involved in strategic conversations around various carbon reduction initiatives and plans to diversify Trinidad and Tobago’s energy portfolio.

Winston Mohammed
Senior Manager, Projects

Winston MohammedWinston Mohammed, joined NGC in August 2018 as the new Senior Manager, Projects, Projects Division.

Mr. Mohammed is a graduate of The University of the West Indies, St Augustine. He has over 25 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry and has spent over 10 years leading large projects (>US $500 million) from design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover to operations, including the Juniper, Mango and New Oil Export Pipeline projects in a Programme approach. His work experience, prior to NGC, includes project management and gas commercial experience at BP Trinidad and Tobago LLC.

He is accountable for the delivery of all capital projects in NGC and for the compliance of all capital projects against the requirements of NGC’s Project Management Methodology (PMM) across the NGC Group.

Senior Manager, HSE and Security, NGC

Himalaya BoodoosinghMr. Himalaya Boodoosingh was appointed Senior Manager, HSE and Security in June 2019. He brings over 21 years’ experience in various positions across Atlantic LNG from its inception, including HSSE expertise. His areas of expertise include Process Safety Management, HSSE Management, Project Management and Integrated Management Systems. Mr. Boodoosingh is the former Director Integrated Management Systems, Atlantic.

A process engineer, he began his tenure with Atlantic in 1997, when he was appointed Process Safety Management Coordinator. He was then promoted to HSSE Manager where he was accountable for development, implementation and maintenance of an HSE Management System through the growth phase of Atlantic’s operation. He served as Executive Assistant to the President and was then appointed Optimisation Manager before moving to Operations Planning Manager.

Seconded to bpTT, he worked on projects that sought to deepen commercial acumen. He held several other positions including Engineering Manager and then Business Opportunity Manager, Onshore Compression Project.

He was called upon to deliver strategy for the systematic and in control operations, planning and performance management.

As a master root cause specialist with in-depth experience in risk management and environmental management, he brings to NGC a wealth and diversity of experience as the organisation seeks to optimise value across the energy value chain.

Gillian Chevrotiere
Senior Manager, People Leadership and Culture

Gillian ChevrotierreMrs. Gillian Chevrotiere assumed the position of Senior Manager, Human Resources in January 2022.

An HR advocate and leader with over 18 years of experience spanning the oil and gas, financial services, construction, and consultancy sectors, she has earned a reputation for guiding and supporting international and local organisations through strategy design, operational and people management strategies.

Prior to joining the NGC, she operated her own consultancy practice which she used to establish a relationship with the Human Capital Institute (HCI). The collaboration made accredited international certifications readily available to industry leaders. She also led the HR team at the National Information and Communication Technology Company Limited (iGovTT).

Gillian holds a Master of Science Degree in HR from the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology and HR from The University of the West Indies. She is a certified HR Business Partner, (sHRBP) and Workforce Planner (SWP) through the Human Capital Institute of Ohio, and a Certified Recruiter and Assessment Centre Designer and Developer through the Institute of Leadership and Management of the United Kingdom. She also holds certificates in Mediation and Dispute Resolution and Train the Trainer.

Gillian is a member of the performing arts community and takes pride in being a singing member of The Lydians choir, where she also served as a former Director.
