Edmund SubryanEdmund Subryan is currently NGC’s President (Ag.) and Vice President, Legal and Corporate Affairs; and Corporate Secretary. Throughout his tenure at NGC, he has served as Legal Counsel, Head – Legal Services, and Manager of Legal and Corporate Affairs. Additionally, he previously served as the Company Secretary for the following entities:

      • The National Energy Skills Centre (NESC)
      • Trinidad and Tobago LNG Limited
      • NGC Trinidad and Tobago LNG Limited
      • NGC E&P Investments Limited
      • NGC CNG Company Limited
      • Trinidad and Tobago NGL Limited

Edmund was instrumental in the TTNGL IPO—launched on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange in October 2015—a milestone for NGC. He also played a pivotal role in NGC’s landmark acquisition of Total’s (The France-based global energy operator) Exploration and Production (E&P) assets in Trinidad and Tobago in September 2013 and ConocoPhillips’ interest in Phoenix Park Gas Processors Limited in August 2013.

Edmund’s current portfolio revolves around protecting the Company from risk and liability—this involves oversight of NGC’s Corporate Governance and Compliance function,, Right of Way (ROW) regularisation and land acquisition, claims management, commercial contract negotiations across the natural gas value chain and providing support to other critical groups within the organisation.

Prior to his arrival at NGC, Edmund worked with M. Hamel-Smith and Company and M.G. Daly and Partners as a Partner in the Conveyancing and Commercial Department. Edmund has been admitted to practice as an Attorney-at-Law in Trinidad and Tobago since 2001 and his educational background includes a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Degree from the University of London and the prestigious Legal Education Certificate of Merit from the Hugh Wooding Law School, where he was the Valedictorian of the graduating class of 2001 in recognition of his achievement as the most outstanding student over the two-year period.

Narinejit PariagNarinejit Pariag assumed the position of Vice President, Finance, Information and Management at NGC in March 2016.

Prior to that he held the position of Vice President, Finance and Administration at National Energy Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago Limited, a 100% owned subsidiary of NGC. Mr Pariag has over 20 years’ experience in the field of Finance and Accounting, having previously worked for private sector corporations.

He is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA), a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago (ICATT), and holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration.


Verlier Quan-Vie
Vice President, Commercial

Verlier QuanVerlier Quan-Vie is a Commercial and Business Development Professional with over 30 years’ experience spanning risk management, commercial and business development across all aspects of energy value chain both local and internationally.

Ms. Quan-Vie began her career in the energy sector at the T&T Methanol Company (TTMC) in a technical role and subsequently moved into the Marketing/Commercial field. She has working experience with several high-level organisations, most notably the BG Group, Methanol Holdings Trinidad Limited and Maritime General Insurance Company Limited.

Prior to joining NGC, Ms. Quan-Vie held the position of Commercial Manager at the BG Group. There, she provided commercial strategy and management expertise in all aspects of the natural gas value chain in Trinidad, UK, Nigeria and Tanzania. She worked as the Commercial Lead on Business Development & Exploration activities in Trinidad and Nigeria for various Upstream Licensing Bid Rounds, Joint Venture Farm-in deals and other commercial agreements. She has effectively managed Production Sharing Contracts and Joint Venture agreements to ensure value creation for all parties.
