Technical Services Careers at NGC

To assure the safety, integrity, timeliness and cost-effective implementation of engineering projects required for the effective operation and development of the gas collection, transmission and distribution network.

  • Project Engineer I – A First Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the Engineering function.
  • Project Engineer II – A First Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline and a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in the Engineering function. Also required to seek Registration with the Board of Engineering of Trinidad & Tobago

To ensure the effective and efficient provision of surveying services by internal and external surveyors, which satisfies the requirements of all areas within the Company and its subsidiaries that may require these services.

  • Surveyor I – A BSc. in Surveying and Land Information and a minimum of two (2) years’ working experience in the surveying field.
  • Surveyor II – A BSc. in Surveying and Land Information and a minimum of four (4) years’ working experience in the surveying field.

The provision of CAD drawings to support the engineering and construction activities and all areas of the Company and it subsidiaries that require CAD services.

  • CAD Technician I – Five (5) GCE ‘O’ level or CXC General Proficiency Level subjects including Mathematics and Technical Drawing; a National Technician’s Diploma in General Draughting and a minimum of two (2) years in the draughting field.
  • CAD Technician II – Five (5) GCE ‘O’ level or CXC General Proficiency Level subjects including Mathematics and Technical Drawing; a National Technician’s Diploma in General Draughting and a minimum of four (4) years in the draughting field.

To collect, analyse, migrate and perform QA/QC checks on NGC pipelines, facilities and asset management data using Geographic Information System (G.I.S) to support all areas in the Company that require geo-referenced information.

  • GIS Assistant I – A BSc in Surveying & Land Information; a Certificate in Geographic Information System (GIS) and a minimum of one (1) year’s working experience in a related field.
  • GIS Assistant II -– A BSc in Surveying & Land Information; an Advanced Diploma in Geographic Information System (GIS) and a minimum of three (3) years’ working experience in a related field.

To support the efficient and effective maintenance of equipment and their mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems, sub-systems and components on the offshore platforms, workshops and NGC’s land based installations (as directed by Line Supervisor).

  • Maintenance Technician I -– A National Technician’s Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Instrumentation Engineering and a minimum of one (1) year’s experience in mechanical, instrument, electrical repair and overhaul of gas compressor equipment.
  • Maintenance Technician II -– A National Technician’s Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Instrumentation Engineering and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in mechanical, instrument, electrical repair and overhaul of gas compressor equipment.

To support the efficient and effective maintenance of equipment utilized in Telecommunication systems, sub-systems and components at all NGC’s locations and installations.

  • A National Technician’s Diploma in Electronic/Communication Engineering or equivalent.
  • Telecommunications Technician I – A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar job.
  • Telecommunications Technician II – A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a related field.

To provide technical and support services in the efficient and reliable functioning of platform equipment, through proper maintenance of an adequate supply of gas.

  • Five (5) G.C.E. ‘O’ Level or C.X.C. General Proficiency subjects including English Language, Mathematics & a Science subject
  • A National Technician’s Diploma in Process Plant Operations, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering Technician.
  • Facilities Technician I – A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a related field.
  • Facilities Technician II – A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in a related field.

To implement predictive maintenance programmes and schedules for all offshore production machinery and ancillary equipment in accordance with predetermined techniques and standards.

  • A National Technician’s Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Level I Certification in Vibration Analysis from a recognized certifying institution
  • Five (5) years’ experience working with engines and compressor analyzers and in conducting vibration analysis of rotating equipment in either an offshore environment or in the petrochemical industry

To provide data management support services for maintenance computer applications.

  • Five (5) G.C.E. ‘O’ Level or C.X.C. General Proficiency subjects including Mathematics and English Language
  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ in a similar or related function

To support the efficient and effective maintenance of equipment utilized in Electrical systems, sub-systems and components at all NGC’s locations and installations.

  • Electrical Technician I – A National Technician’s Diploma in the Electrical field and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar or related job.
  • Electrical Technician II – A National Technician’s Diploma in the Electrical field and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar or related job.

To support the efficient and effective maintenance of equipment utilized in Air-Condition and Refrigeration systems, sub-systems and components at all NGC’s locations and installations.

  • Air-Condition Technician I – A National Technician’s Diploma in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar or related job.
  • Air-Condition Technician II – A National Technician’s Diploma in Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar or related job.
