NGC/UTT Natural Gas Workshops 2013

NGC in partnership with UTT invites you to participate in four, 3-day natural gas workshops.

The National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (NGC) in partnership with The University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) invites you to participate in four, 3-DAY NATURAL GAS WORKSHOPS.

When will these workshops be held? The workshops, with identical course outlines, will be held on four occasions:

  • Session 1: 23rd – 25th July
  • Session 2: 29th – 31st July
  • Session 3: 13th – 15th August
  • Session 4: 20th – 22nd August

The sessions are from 8am to 4pm, unless otherwise stated, at The Employee Centre, NGC’s Head Office, Orinoco Drive, Point Lisas Industrial Estate.

Application Deadline: 15th July, 2013 for any of the above-mentioned sessions. Successful registrants will be required to pay a $100 fee, which will be refunded at the end of each session.

What will you learn?

Hey are some key things you’ll be learning in this workshop:

  • Structure, history and role of the natural gas industry in Trinidad and Tobago
  • Introduction to hydrocarbons and energy science
  • The natural gas value chain: upstream midstream and downstream
  • Environment and safety in the natural gas sector
  • The legal, financial and regulatory framework of the natural gas sector
  • Corporate social responsibility

There will also be guided tours of the Point Lisas Industrial Estate and other points of interest. A Certificate of Participation will be issued to all those who have completed the workshop and field trip.

Who is eligible to participate?

You must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree programme (at the Bachelor level) at a recognized tertiary level institution. You must have completed at least a first year in your programme. Preference will be given to the third/final year students, followed by second and finally first. You do not need to be in a scientific field of study.
